Car crashes are a leading cause of death for children 1 to 13 years old. Many times deaths and injuries can be prevented by proper use of car seats, boosters, and seat belts. Use this toolkit for information and ideas on how to generate awareness about child car safety in your community during Child Passenger Safety Week, National Seat Check Saturday, and throughout the year.
Additionally, for child seat inspection stations, we created a Chuggington-themed traffic safety toolkit. Its main purpose is to engage the children with entertaining and educational materials while their parents and caregivers check the proper installation and use of their child seats in a friendly "Chuggington-like" environment. Lastly, WIZARD OF OZ™ Public Service Announcements (PSAs) for Child Passenger Safety are now available. These PSAs - courtesy of NHTSA, the Ad Council, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment - encourage parents and caregivers to know for sure their children are in the right car seat. Click here for more information.
