Researchers at North Carolina State University are developing programs to help autonomous vehicles analyze data more quickly so they can navigate heavy traffic conditions and situations like merging at on-ramps. The programs have not been tested in live traffic yet but they are optimistic about the results of proof-of-concept testing.
