AVs are driving toward mainstream transit

Researchers say that autonomous vehicles will be emerging from controlled environments into the mainstream and will become a mainstay of public transit. They point to a project in Jacksonville, Fla., where the public transit system will deploy about a dozen AV shuttles along a downtown innovation corridor.
