The ASC held its Washington DC Technology Fair on Wednesday September 27, 2017 in the Rayburn House Office Building Foyer from 10:00am – 2:00pm. The Fair displayed the capability, availability and life saving potential of the latest automotive safety equipment for Passive, Active, Autonomous and Child safety. Additionally, the ASC was very pleased to have the new NHTSA Deputy Administrator, Heidi King, make her first public presentation at the event along with NHTSA Executive Director, Jack Danielson, who introduced her. ASC was also pleased to have the event sponsored by representatives Mike Kelley, R-PA, and Marcy Kaptur, D-OH. Congresswoman Kaptur kicked off the event with a impassioned presentation on the importance of auto safety for the public and the auto industry to the country. The ASC Technology Fair had mid-day presentation by NTSB Board Member, T. Bella Dinh-Zarr, who spoke about the benefits of auto safety and the important role ASC plays in that goal.
