ASC partnered with NHTSA at the global Enhanced Safety of Vehicles Conference (ESV) to provide the Ride and Drive event that allows conference attendees to see first hand the latest active safety and autonomous vehicle safety equipment in hands on live vehicle demonstration. The ESV being held at the Detroit Cobo Hall Convention Center June 5-8, 2017 is an every 2 year global conference to discuss the latest in vehicle safety that rotates to global venues. This is the first time the event was held in Detroit and in the USA since 2011. The Ride and Drive Event portion was held in conjunction with Wayne State University in Detroit where ASC members Continental, Delphi and ZF showed off their latest technology over a road course to simulate real driving events and how the new safety technology can improve the safety of vehicles. BMW and Rosco Vision provided transportation to and from Cobo Hall to Wayne State University for participants and demonstrated their technology along the drive.
ASC was pleased to provide this activity for the global conference.
