MIT researchers have developed a system that predicts areas at high risk for car accidents by analyzing crash data, satellite imagery, GPS information and maps via artificial intelligence. “We designed neural networks like the ones of human brains, so it receives training through massive road data which deepens its understanding of the environment and eventually draws out a complete perception system,” explains DeepRoute.ai CEO Maxwell Zhou, whose company is in the autonomous driving business.
